Roqui Albero

Roqui Albero is the Trumpeter of the singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler, awarded with an Oscar.With him he has recorded two albums and toured throughout all Latin America, playing in the most prestigious theaters and venus in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia, Cuba, Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Brazil, etc.; Roqui is the trumpeter of the album Bailar en la Cueva, awarded with two Latin Grammy.
He has toured throughout Europe with the singer Manu Chao in 2003.He has played with Cuban musicians such as Angá (Irakere), Juan el Indio (Orchestra Revé de Cuba), Pancho Amat and Barbarito Torres (Buenavista Social Club). He has recorded, among many others, for Chano Domínguez, the creator of the flamenco-jazz piano.
He has accompanied the singer-songwriter Paco Ibañez in numerous concerts that have led him to perform at the Olimpia theater in Paris.
He has participated in jazz groups such as Barcelona jazz Orquestra, with which he has accompanied American musicians such as Nicholas Payton, Frank Wess, Mike Mossman, Leroy Jones, Benny Golsonand the British singer of the band Spandau Ballet, Tony Hadley.
He has played with Perico Sambeat, the best Spanish jazz saxophonist, in his big band flamenco.
He has toured France with the band Black and White Gospel Singers.
He has played with the prestigious Turkish percussionist Misirili Ahmed, the great master of darbuka in Asia.
He has been a trumpet player for Monica Green's band and has collaborated with well-known Spanish bands such as La Fundación Tony Manero, Marlango, Amparanoia and La Orquestra Plateria.
He has played with many Spanish singers as the great Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Judith Neddermann, Kiko Veneno and Eliseo Parra.
He has worked as an arranger for jazz orchestras and has taught at numerous Spanish schools.
He studied at the Higher Institute of Art of Havana, at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Esmuc) of Barcelonaand he has also attended Berklee seminars in Boston.
He is currently immersed in his poetry and music project called Versonautas, in which he acts as rhapsodist, musician and composer. With this project he has made more than 100 concerts in Spain and Cuba.
He has also started to be part of the Russian band d ‘Blackled by Vladimir Avetisian.
